Mary Sue Gibson Morris, creator of Posada Del Angel, grew up in Amarillo, Texas . She is a graduate of SMU. Mary Sue has lived in Dallas, Cincinnati, Paris and New York City . In 1963, the consummate traveler, she made her first trip around the world in style. In 1968 Mary Sue traveled the world a second time, hitchhiking. In 1990 she sold her business in New York City and started traveling again.
A die-hard traveler, Mary Sue said, "I have tried to create the hotel I always dreamed of staying at: comfortable, beautiful, elegant, and above all: FUN!!!! I dreamed of a hotel where someone would give me good advice on what to do and what was going on in town. A hotel where you are just as comfortable being single as being married, a hotel where you get to know other guests and the local residents or you can be left entirely alone."
Continuing, Mary Sue said, "Reflecting on it all, I realize now that during my travels I was looking for the perfect place to live. Antigua immediately caught my imagination. I knew that I would be very happy living here. Antigua is about as close to Nirvana as you get."
